                 During WWII hundreds of U.S. Army Signal Corps Officers and thousands of Americans civilians helped win WWII with advanced electronics.
 They were electronic engineers who came up with concepts to create new systems or improve existing radars.
They were draftsman who worked with the engineers to get the concepts on paper.
They were machinists, carpenters, glassblowers and radio tube engineers who built the prototypes.
They were test engineers who subjected the prototypes to rigorous tests to find any problems before the final plans were created.
They were the secretaries who typed and filed thousands of classified memos and reports.
They were production draftsmen and industrial engineers who would develop production engineering plans to enable American industry to manufacture the radars.  They were the technical writers, artists, and photographers who would write the field manuals to help radar operators use the equipment.
They were contract officers who would work with industry to get new radars into production and delivered to battle.
They were the industrial inspectors who would visit manufactures to make sure the parts met specifications.
They were the new equipment introduction specialist units that would go into battle with the equipment to make sure it worked in battle to spec.
They were the enemy equipment analysis group who would inspect captured equipment and gather any useful design information to create counter-measures.
