On the 100th Anniversary of Marconi's 1899 demonstration of his Wireless System Invention at the America's Cup Races
we had a ceremony to kickoff our development of the InfoAge Science-History Center.

We used the Marconi Belmar High-Powered Wireless Station Chief Engineer's Cottage.

On the Cottage porch we setup a disply with Station model built by Bob Judge

We had a custom cake made for the
event.

InfoAge Founder and Virtual
Director Fred Carl gave a motation speech. Then we cut the cake.

InfoAge Founder Larry Tormey cuts the
cake.

QCWA President and InfoAge President's
Board Member Bernie Riccardi cuts the cake

Garden State Central Founder and
InfoAge President's Board Member Bob Judge cuts the cake

We were planning to start work on the buildings that were in good condition at that time.
Fort Monmouth BRAC once again had at the last minute postponed the turnover of the site.
They actively worked to prevent us from maintaining the site and buildings.
Finally, in September 2004 the first section of the Camp Evans Historic District was transfered.
The buildings were in such bad condition they were unsafe to enter without hazardous substance protective clothing and masks.
It took us months of difficult work to get the cottages and hotel into condition to be safe to work in.
More of the site was transfer in November 2005, the balance is projected to be transfer in September of 2007.
