8.37 Guard Headquarters Sentry Station (Building 9093)

Architectural Feature: Interior
 Date: 1951

The interior has a main entrance hall which runs the length of the building and has sets of double doors on each end (Photo No. 125) and a small sign-in alcove (Photo No. 126) facing the parking lot and Gate 1.  Behind the hall is an office with a large window and a small bank teller style window (Photo No. 127). The office can be entered from a hall door or a private entrance from inside the secure area of the Camp. The office has a door to a small restroom.  Another door from the main hall opens into the utility room.  The gas/oil fuel heat unit is missing and requires replacement.  The restroom and utility room has considerable paint pealing.

Photos: 125, 126, and 127.

Proposed work

The historic use of the building was as a security office and it will be continued as such.  Infoage however will use it as an entrance point where admission fees will be collected and membership cards checked.  During Phase II, there will be a complete painting of interior, cleaning and restoration of the restroom to service, and replacement of the heat unit.  If possible add air-conditioning
